Acoustic Airborne & Impact Testing
These pre-completion tests are required for all new build and some conversion or extended properties. Sound insulation tests are required to comply with Building Regulations approved document E. An airborne test measures the sound proofing qualities of party wall insulation. Impact tests are carried out between separating floors of multiple dwelling buildings.

Environmental Noise Assessments
Environmental noise pollution is a major concern for many people, especially in built up areas. There are a variety of different types of environmental noise including boundary, industrial and commercial, railway and traffic, construction and industrial processing. These assessments are used to monitor this noise over a period of time to ensure that they do not exceed the UK Government regulations.

Air Tightness Testing
Air tightness testing is required to indicate the measurement of air lost per hour per square meter of your building. Leakage can be caused by gaps, cracks or holes in the fabric of the building. Testing is necessary to comply with part L of the Building Regulations and will contribute to your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure)
SAP is the Government's Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings. commonly known as EPC (Energy Performance Certificate), it is used to demonstrate compliance with Part L of Building Regulations for dwellings in England and Wales.
Calculation process:
-
Review your plans and specification and make any recommendations
-
Complete the Design Stage SAP Calculations
-
Provide guidance to achieve a pass (if required)
-
Complete the As Built SAP Calculations and EPCs
-
Supply all documents to meet deadlines

BREEAM Assessment
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method)
is the world's longest established method of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of buildings. More than 550,000 buildings have been BREEAM-certified and over 2 million are registered for certification - in more than 50 countries worldwide.
BREEAM measures sustainable value in a series of categories, ranging from energy to ecology. Each of these categories, addresses the most influential factors, including low impact design and carbon emmissions reduction; design durability and resilience; adaptation to climate change; and ecological value and biodiversity protection.

Here at Tempo Compliance Testing Ltd we deal with Noise Pollution (Resistance to the passage of sound) as set out in Part E of the Building Regulations. And Energy Performance as set out in Part L1 of the Building Regulations for dwelling and Part L2 for buildings other than dwellings.

Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM)
SBEM is used to demonstrate the energy performance of new and existing non-domestic buildings. It is a Government approved methodology that calculates the energy required to heat, cool, ventilate and light a non-dwelling

Water Calculations
Building Regulations part G and the code for sustainable homes now require newly built properties met certain minimum per person per day limits. Calculations are based on occupancy, fittings and flow rates.
